インターネットの経路数は20万超に
先週、JANOGメーリングリストで10/13ごろにインターネットの経路数が20万経路を越えたという話題がありました。
APNICのサイトで確認してみると確かに超えているようですね。

ISPで稼動しているルータによっては、20万経路という数が上限値となっているものもあるようで、そういったところでは細かな経路をフィルタして経路の集約をするなどして凌いでいるようです。
調べてみると、2003年8月時点で10万経路という情報があり、3年とすこしで倍増したことになります。グローバルアドレスの割り当てを受ける事業者には今後、無駄で冗長な経路は流さない、可能な限り経路集約するなどのモラル向上が求められるんでしょうね。。
